Wisconsin’s Department of Health Services has announced the opening of five new crisis stabilization centers to address mental health and drug treatment needs.
These centers offer an alternative to jail or state mental hospitals for individuals in crisis.
Located in Waukesha, Beaver Dam, Wausau, La Crosse, and Madison, the centers are a response to the increasing demand for mental health services in the state, according to DHS’ Kirsten Johnson.
