Ahead of the November election, Green Bay Mayor Eric Genrich has proposed hiring security guards for city hall.
This decision follows unspecified “incidents” and is intended to enhance security during the election period.
The proposal, which includes relocating non-public meetings to more private areas, comes after Genrich had microphones installed to monitor activity outside city council chambers.
The initial cost of implementing this security plan is estimated at $150,000.
