The woman who sold alcohol to teens prior to a deadly crash has been sentenced.
WBAY TV reports that 28-year-old Sanju Paudel was ordered to spend a total of 18 months in jail, nine months per count of Providing Alcohol to a Minor Resulting in Death for which she was convicted.
She was found guilty due to a no-contest plea on both charges and was ordered to spend a total of twelve years on probation following her release.
Court documents state that Paudel was working as a clerk at a Shell gas station and sold beer and rum to 16-year-old Tommy Koenigs without IDing him in January of 2023.
A few hours later, Koenigs and fellow 16-year-old Nevins Zoch were killed after their vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree.
A girl in the vehicle was also injured in the crash.
