Deputies from the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office aided in the capture of a child predator.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Wisconsin reports that charges were filed Wednesday against 61-year-old Terrence E. Fabino of Grayslake, Illinois.
The indictment states that Fabino “knowingly attempted to employ, use, persuade, induce, entice, and coerce a minor” to engage in sexually explicit conduct in November of 2023 and that he attempted to “transfer obscene material to a minor under 16 years of age” in October of the same year.
The Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office was a part of the investigation, as was the Lake County Illinois Sheriff’s Office.
Fabino is facing up to 40 years in prison if convicted and a mandatory 15 years if found guilty on the enticement charge.
His case will be prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Daniel R. Humble.
