Milwaukee prosecutors assert that suspects in a recent deadly shooting at a Taco Bell are connected to an organized crime ring from Chicago that steals cars in southeast Wisconsin.
Charges were formally filed against two of the four suspects involved in the incident.
Investigators report that the suspects were breaking into cars on May 5th when 41-year-old Stanley Smith Jr. interrupted them and was subsequently shot and killed.
The suspects fled but returned to Milwaukee two weeks later to continue their car thefts.
One suspect is being held on a $500,000 bond, while another is held on a $1 million bond.
