Two people were arrested after a traffic accident in Manitowoc.
According to police reports, a woman was driving south in the 900 block of Maritime Drive at around 10:45 Tuesday morning (May 28th) when she stopped to allow pedestrians to cross.
As she was stopped, her vehicle was struck by a car driven by a 39-year-old woman.
The woman fled from the car into a nearby building but left her wallet behind with her driver’s license.
She was found inside a bathroom, with the officer noting it was “obvious [she] has just injected an unknown substance into her body.”
Meanwhile, at the scene of the crash, the husband of the other driver arrived and began causing a scene.
He reportedly parked behind the squad car, wouldn’t move it when asked to, and gave the middle finger to the officers.
The officers told the 43-year-old man he was under arrest, and he resisted being put in handcuffs. Officers had to sweep his legs and guide him to the ground to get the cuffs on.
The man has been charged with Disorderly Conduct, Resting an Officer, Obstructing an Officer, and three counts of Felony Bail jumping while the driver was arrested on two counts of Felony Bail Jumping.
