Some people have applied for the open position on the Manitowoc Common Council in District 1.
Mayor Justin Nickels shared with Seehafer News that Todd Lotz, Andrew Nichols, and Evelyn Torres have submitted applications to fill the seat left by Alderman Brett Vanderkin.
He resigned during the May council meeting due to his address being changed.
Other residents in Manitowoc’s first district have until June 13th to apply if they want the chance to represent the district on the council.
The council approved having applications sent during a Committee of the Whole meeting earlier this month.
