The National Weather Service has verified that three weak tornadoes formed during Sunday’s storms.
The first tornado touched down just west of Janesville, in Footville.
The second tornado hit over Lake Koshkonong and moved toward the southwest side of Fort Atkinson.
The third tornado landed east of Janesville and proceeded into southern Jefferson County.
Each tornado was classified as an EF-0, with maximum wind speeds of 80 miles per hour.
While no serious injuries were reported, the tornadoes did cause some damage.
