Two women are okay after their kayaks capsised in the town of Waupun.
According to NBC 26, Fond du Lac County Sheriffs were called Friday evening to the Rock River after a report of capsized kayaks with two women trapped in downed timber and unable to escape.
A sergeant was sent to find a 40-year-old woman from Beaver Dam and a 52-year-old woman from Waupun just north of Highway 49 near Church Road.
A good Samaritan was already helping the women when sheriffs showed up.
The sergeant entered the water and, with rescue equipment, was able to get the women out.
Both are uninjured and their kayaks were recovered.
