St. Francis of Assisi Parish is going to host the North or Marian Route of the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage next month.
The pilgrimage visit is scheduled for Friday, June 14th, between 10 and 11:30 am at the SFA Waldo site at 1121 N. 14th Street In Manitowoc.
The four routes of the NEP are taking place ahead of the National Eucharistic Congress set for July 17th through the 21st in Indianapolis. The northern route through the Green Bay Catholic Diocese winds up Sunday, June 16th, at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Champion.
Area residents are invited to take part locally in this historical event through Adoration, Eucharistic Procession, Benediction, and Fellowship.
The Manitowoc schedule includes Adoration at 10 am in the church at Waldo, a Eucharistic procession around the campus at 10:30, Eucharistic Adoration at the altar alongside the Fatima shrine at 10:45, Benediction outside at 11:15, and the Repose of the Blessed Sacrament into the new Sacred Heart Adoration Chapel at 11:30. Lunch and Children’s activities will follow at 11:35.
The pilgrimage began on Pentecost Sunday, May 19th, and is linked to the National Eucharistic Revival started by U.S. bishops in June of 2022.
