The Wrightstown Fire Department, with help from several entities, rescued a pair of kayakers on the Fox River.
The Department reports that they were called at around 1:00 p.m. to the river on a report of two kayakers who had fallen into the water without lifejackets.
It was confirmed that one person was in the water while the other was still on the kayak.
A pair of Sea-Doo watercraft were deployed, aiding one of the individuals to a nearby boat dock, and the other was brought back to shore on the Sea-Doo.
No injuries were reported, but the Department is using this case as a reminder to always wear a lifejacket when on the water, no matter how strong of a swimmer you are.
Wrightstown Fire was aided at the scene by the Wrightstown Police Department, the Greenleaf Volunteer Fire Department, Brown County Public Safety Communications, and County Rescue.
