
A man who has been serving Manitowoc County for over three decades is calling it a career.
Detective Mike Herrmann will be officially retiring today (May 24th) after first putting on the uniform in August of 1993. He started his career as a Corrections Officer and made his way up to Jail Sergeant, Patrol Deputy, and eventually, Detective.
Herrmann has also been a part of numerous specialized units, and has served as an instructor for a variety of topics.
In a post on Facebook, the Sheriff’s Office said, “Throughout his tenure, Mike has exemplified the utmost professionalism, dedication, and unwavering commitment to serving our community…While Mike’s retirement marks the end of an era for us, it also signifies the beginning of an exciting new chapter in his life. Please join us in expressing our deepest gratitude to Mike for his years of service, leadership, and friendship.”
