Home buyers paid slightly less in April than they did the month prior.
According to the Wisconsin Realtors Association’s April report, the average price for a home bought in Manitowoc was $198,500, which is $1,500 less than the median price in March.
It is also $500 less expensive than it was in April of 2023.
That being said, the number of homes bought is down significantly from March.
60 homes were bought in April, 13 less than the month before but three higher than last April.
The state averages show different trends, however, as the average price for a home in Wisconsin was $300,000 in April, which is up from nearly $34,000 from where it started the year.
However, the number of homes sold each month has been steadily rising, hitting 5,532 last month.
Last April, the average Wisconsin home sold for $282,000, and there were 4,401 taken off the market.
