A reminder to Manitowoc motorists, a major road reconstruction project is set to begin today.
The City of Manitowoc’s Engineering Division Manager, Greg Minikel, previously announced that the section of Franklin Street between South 21st and South 26th Street will be closed starting today for a full reconstruction and some utility work.
Traffic on South 21st and South 26th Streets is not expected to be affected.
For those who were hoping to go to The Cage, Manitowoc’s newest batting cage, there is a parking lot at the corner of South 21st and Franklin that will still be accessible.
The project is expected to take until around August 23rd to complete.
