Chilton Elementary School is going to look different now that a renovation project is getting underway.
FOX11 reports that teachers got the chance to take a sledgehammer to the old part of the school that was going to be renovated last week.
Superintendent Sue Kaphingst called exciting for the teachers as the building existed for over 50 years with walls that were never truly solid.
A part of the project is recreating first through fourth grade classrooms as well as including areas for special education, art, and music.
The project is part of the 2022 referendum that got $20 million for the project.
