Two Rivers Utilities wants to help local residents recycle electronic devices, light bulbs, and batteries to reuse valuable materials and keep these items out of landfills.
The utility is hosting a recycling event Tuesday, June 11th, 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Electric Utility Office, 1415 Lake Street, Two Rivers.
A fee will be required to recycle items such as TVs, monitors, fluorescent and incandescent light bulbs, and batteries.
No fee will be required for items such as electronics, rechargeable batteries, and non-PCB ballasts. Large appliances will not be accepted.
Visit two-rivers.org for additional information and associated fees. Since 2010, Two Rivers Utilities has collected over 15 tons of recycling items during their electronics, bulb, and batteries recycling collection events.
