After an early end to the last sailing season and an off-season of repairs to the Luddington dock, the S.S. Badger is getting back into action today.
A piece of the dock in Michigan fell into the Lake Michigan waters last year, causing the historic vessel to end its sailing season early.
The Badger set sail at 8:00 our time this morning from Ludington, and will port in Manitowoc at around noon.
As is tradition, Visit Manitowoc has set up a welcome-back celebration, which will be held at the dock located at 900 South Lakeview Drive.
