With a big win last night and some help from a conference foe, the Mishicot baseball team has secured at least a share of the Big East North Title.
Nolan Sand and Ethan Gnadt kept the Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah batters at bay as the Indians cruised to an 8-2 win last night, bumping their conference record to 7-2.
Meanwhile, Manitowoc Lutheran knocked off Reedsville, taking the Panthers to 6-4 in Big East play, meaning the Indians are all alone at the top, with the Lancers and St. Mary Catholic nipping at their heels.
Also aiding in the Indian’s win was Logan Marquart, who, along with Sand, scattered three hits on the day, while Sawyer Sand drove home a pair.
Mishicot’s standings in the conference are now in their own hands, as a win on Thursday against the Resorters will secure them the Big East North crown all alone.
But first, the Indians will take on Algoma tonight at Mishicot High School.
