In honor of National Drinking Water Week, Manitowoc Public Utilities (MPU) is opening the Water Treatment Plant for public tours.
On Wednesday (May 8th) tours will run every 15-minutes between the hours of 4:00 and 6:00 p.m.
Registration is not required. Just visit the plant at 1323 South 7th Street between that timeframe.
MPU will also be handing out a flyer that explains the treatment process, and the first 150 guests will receive a branded water bottle.
Also, MPU is also hosting a community children’s coloring contest.
