While the Department of Justice has determined they will not be filing charges against a Green Bay Police Officer involved in a shooting, the case is not over.
Officer Dan Skenandore was cleared of any wrongdoing in the shooting death of Steve Ventura on February 23rd, but the Green Bay Police Department has announced that they will be conducting an internal review as well.
FOX11 reports that this review is not for legal purposes, but rather to see if anything can be learned from the situation.
The DOJ released videos from the incident, including body camera and squad car footage, which showed him returning fire on Ventura after he got out of his car and turned directly toward Officer Skenandore with a weapon drawn.
