
Manitowoc Lincoln scattered 25 hits over two games at Municipal Field Saturday, claiming a sweep over Ripon in the process.
The Ships one the opener 9-1 on the back of 2 RBI performances by Brayden Steinbecker and Gavin Lettenberger, and Noah Wech going 3-3 at the plate.
Trenton Ducat and Zach Bradl combined to allow five hits and five strikeouts over the seven inning matchup. In the nightcap, it was all Lincoln, as they peppered the field with 17 hits enroute to a 14-4 win.
Cade Grapentine, Lettenberger, and Gabe Eichman split time on the mound, again allowing five hits while striking out six batters. At the plate.
Lettenberger went 3-3 with 4 RBI, Brandl was a perfect 3-3 with 1 RBI, and Kam Braun went 2-3 with one run batted in.
The Ships are now 11-1 overall, sit atop the FRCC, and are the #20 team in the state according to MaxPreps.
They are right back at it today as they travel to Green Bay Preble.
