The Manitowoc Public School District has a new board president.
During their organization session on Tuesday (April 23rd), Chris Able was technically the sole nominee for the position. However, Board Member Matthew Phipps also nominated Kerry Trask, but he denied saying he doesn’t want the job.
So that means Able won by unanimous vote. Trask did win the vice-president role, while the newest member, Keith Shaw, will be the board’s treasurer.
The Board Secretary job will be kept by Laurie Brown and the Deputy Treasurer roll goes to Business Manager Angela Erdmann.
Trask and Shaw won a seat on the board during the April 2nd General Election, beating now former Board President Stacey Soeldner and Basil Buchko.
