It was another successful year for a Lakeshore Humane Society fundraiser.
It was the third year for Viva Paws Vegas, a signature event for the animal shelter.
Director Tina Nichols says this year, about $30,000 was raised, with $24,000 coming from sponsors alone.
She also says there were several baskets donated for the cause that were bid on.
The event allows people to donate real money to the organization while using ‘fun money’ to gamble and win prizes.
Next year’s event is already scheduled for March 29th.
