A Green Bay man has been sentenced in federal court for his role in the overdose death of two teens.
32-year-old Keenan J. Denruyter was ordered by U.S. Senior District Judge William C. Griesbach to spend 25 years in prison after he pleaded guilty to charges of Distributing Fentanyl Resulting in Death, Possessing Fentanyl With Intent to Distribute, and Possessing a Firearm and Ammunition as a Convicted Felon.
According to the news release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Denruyter repeatedly distributed pills containing fentanyl that he was claiming to be Percocet.
He sold these pills to two Green Bay females aged 17 and 18, which resulted in their deaths.
This case was investigated by the Brown County Drug Task Force, the Drug Enforcement Administration, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives.
