A convicted sex offender from southern Wisconsin is facing charges after communicating with law enforcement, including Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Deputies.
According to FOX 11, 40-year-old David Fuchs of Janesville has charges of attempted sexual exploitation of a minor and persuading a minor to engage in sexually explicit conduct.
He also faces a third charge of committing a felony offense as a sex offender.
Federal officials say during a conversation with an Outagamie County Sheriff, he admitted to wanting to have sex with a child and sent multiple explicit photos of himself and requested explicit images.
He was arrested on March 15th when he thought he was going to meet a 12-year-old girl.
He also communicated with Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Deputies and Madison Police Officers when he thought he was talking with underaged girls.
Fuchs is a registered sex offender in Wisconsin.
He was released from state prison in 2022 and was under supervision at the time of the new offenses.
