The Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity in Manitowoc have become the main sponsor of a senior living community in Greenfield, Wisconsin, located in Milwaukee County.
They will now sponsor Clement Manor Inc., which was sponsored by the Milwaukee-based School Sisters of St. Francis.
The two Franciscan orders have been discussing the sponsorship change for several months and recently reached a new agreement.
The transition allows the Manor to continue to be a thriving faith-based operation that adheres to Catholic healthcare guidelines.
Even though the sponsorship is changing, the name of the Manor, its living arrangements, and its leadership will remain the same.
The big difference is Manor is incorporated under the Franciscan Sisters of Chrisitan Charity Sponsored Ministries.
The commitment by the Franciscan Sisters took effect on Monday.
