A woman who has helped grow a local non-profit aimed at helping those with cognitive disabilities is now also serving a major role in a statewide organization.
Deanna Genske, the Executive Director of Ascend Services Inc. in Manitowoc, was recently voted as the Vice President of the Disability Service Provider Network.
DSPN is the state’s leading trade association for organizations that provide support to people with disabilities.
Genske joined the DSPN Board of Directors in January of 2022 and has been a very active member since then.
In her new role, she will serve a two-year term and shall hold office until she accedes to the presidency.
She shall accede to the office of President should that position become vacant or in two years.
