Updates have been made to the city of Chilton’s police and city hall building.
WFRV TV reports that a ribbon cutting was held yesterday morning to complete the 15,600-square-foot remodel.
City Administrator David DeTroye called the update not just a want but a need.
That’s because the building houses multiple government entities hadn’t been updated since 1999.
The project took about a year to complete and cost about $6.2 million.
The project involved turning the city’s old firehouse into a modern fire station.
City Hall also received several upgrades, such as new windows and an HVAC system.
