Several Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Deputies were involved in a high-speed chase over the weekend.
According to WHBL, law enforcement attempted to stop an SUV that was traveling north on I-43 near Wilson-Lima Road at around 8:45 Sunday evening after learning the driver had a warrant out for his arrest.
The driver did not pull over, but rather sped off, taking deputies onto Highway 28.
He eventually turned around and kept fleeing southbound past Cedar Grove.
The Sheriff’s Department was getting ready to throw out spike strips, but the SUV’s engine failed before they were used.
The man was then taken into custody just north of the Ozaukee County line fifteen minutes after the chase began.
The suspect’s name has not been released, nor were the charges he is facing.
