It has been ten days since we last received any updates on the case of missing 3-year-old Elijah Vue.
Elijah disappeared from the home of Jesse Vang on February 20th, and since then, the Two Rivers Police Department has been very careful about what information is released to the public.
The initial news conference contained little to no additional information than what was on the Amber Alert issued earlier in the day.
The Department was issuing updates on its Facebook page with relative consistency up until March 18th.
In that update, it was learned that a blanket belonging to Eljah was found on Goodwin Road north of Manitowoc, but it is believed that the blanket was actually located on February 25th, as Seehafer News was on the scene of a heavy police presence in the area that day.
Since that update, no new information has come out.
Vang and Elijah’s mother, Katrina Baur, are both facing charges of Child Neglect. Vang is due for his preliminary hearing next Thursday (April 4th), while Baur, who recently pleaded not guilty, is due back in court on April 26th.
Citizen search efforts are still going on around the area, with the Mikadow Theater in Manitowoc playing the role of a pseudo headquarters.
While there will be no searches done today, the Mikadow does have plans to organize more searches on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
Anyone with any information is encouraged to call the state tip line at 844-267-6648 or use the Crime Stoppers P3 Tips app.
