
Two people are without a home after a fire early this morning (March 25th).
The Sheboygan Fire Department reports that they were called about a fire in the 1900 block of North 5th Street at 5:15 a.m.
The first units on the scene arrived within three minutes of the alarm and found flames emanating from the second floor.
The occupants had already evacuated the residence, allowing crews to immediately begin battling the blaze.
The flames were subdued within five minutes, but not before they caused an estimated $40,000 in damage.
In total, eleven units responded, and no injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
