A man charged with chasing an individual while brandishing a handgun has been sentenced.
28-year-old Marquise T. Lipsey of Milwaukee was previously found guilty in Manitowoc County Court on a charge of Possession of a Firearm as a Felon, while additional charges of Violating a No Contact Order and Disorderly Conduct as a Domestic Abuse Repeat Offender and two counts of Felony Bail Jumping were dismissed but read into the record.
He was ordered by Judge Robert Dewane to spend two and a half years in prison, followed by two years on extended supervision.
The victim called police to the Southfield Townhouses in Manitowoc on July 2nd, 2023, after Lipsey showed up with a handgun.
He was court-ordered to have no contact with the victim, so they asked Lipsey to leave.
Lipsey refused to leave and chased the victim with a handgun as they fled to a neighbor’s home.
Judge Dewane also ordered Lipsey to maintain absolute sobriety upon his release and maintain full-time employment, schooling, job search, or a combination of the three.
