The 2024 Spring Cleanup schedule has been announced by the city of Manitowoc.
Public Infrastructure Director Dan Koski says the first two weeks of cleanup will be brushed only like woody vegetative material, branches, and shrubs that don’t exceed five feet in length.
The second two weeks will be dedicated to yard waste cleanup like leaves and other garden waste. Brush pickup will start the week of April 8th, south of the Manitowoc River, with crews working from east to west.
Properties north of the river will have brush pickup starting the week of April 15th.
Yard waste pickup will begin the week of April 22nd south of the Manitowoc River, and then crews will return north of the river the week of April 29th.
Koski also reminds residents that a parking ban will be in effect for spring cleanup, and no parking will be allowed near any waste on the curbs.
The street sweepers will only come through once, and bagged material will not be collected.
