Police in Wausau say they need two more officers to keep-up with the city’s homeless boom.
Wausau Police Chief Matt Barnes addressed a city council committee, highlighting the urgent need for two more officers to cope with the doubling of the city’s homeless population over the past five months.
Chief Barnes stressed that additional personnel are necessary to address homelessness and handle calls from other areas of the city effectively.
