The first major break in the Elijah Vue case has been reported.
The Two Rivers Police Department reported at around 4:00 Monday afternoon that a blanket belonging to the missing 3-year-old was found on Goodwin Road, East of County Road B.
Police Chief Ben Meinnert explained in the update that the blanket was located “earlier in this investigation”, but did not specify when.
The blanket was found 3.7 miles from the area where Elijah was last seen by Jesse Vang on February 20th.
Chief Meinnert asked that the public continue to aid in the search efforts, specifically asking searchers to check all “urban and rural areas, including water.”
The previously announced rewards are still in play.
Up to $15,000 is available through the FBI for information leading to the finding of Elijah or to the arrest and conviction of any suspects, along with up to $15,000 from the Two Rivers Police Department and up to $10,000 from Crime Stoppers.
