Following the merger of NAMI Manitowoc County and Prevent Suicide Manitowoc County, NAMI has taken over the distribution of two $2,000 scholarships.
The application period for the awards is open through the end of March for either the PFC Morgan Daly USMC Scholarship or the SGT Terry Peterson USMC Scholarship.
Applicants must be Manitowoc County residents who are graduating from high school in 2024 and aim to pursue higher education in mental health.
Students applying must also have been accepted to an accredited institution for the fall 2024 semester.
Previous honorees went on to study Psychology, Clinical Psychology and even to be Firefighters/Medics.
