Three Green Bay residents are without a home after a fire in a duplex Thursday morning (February 29th).
According to WFRV, the Green Bay Metro Fire Department was called to the 800 block of 11th Avenue at around 11:30 a.m. on a report of a fire in the dual residence.
All residents had safely evacuated by the time fire crews arrived. Smoke was reported to be coming through the front door of the lower unit, and flames were found in the front living room.
A couch had caught fire due to an electrical issue, causing an estimated $10,000 in damages and leaving the lower unit uninhabitable.
The upper unit residents were allowed to return to their living space.
One individual had to be treated for smoke inhalation, but no other injuries were reported.
