The mother of a missing teenager in Ripon is pleading for her son to come home.
Seehafer News reached out to Courtney Hautamaki, the mother of missing 14-year-old Hayden Hautamaki, who gave us some more information on the situation.
Hayden ran away from his home in Ripon at around 6:45 p.m. on February 24th.
Courtney explained that Hayden had gotten into a little bit of trouble but said that it wasn’t anything that he couldn’t work through.
She would not explain further, but she did say that the Ripon Police Department is looking through his phone, specifically Snapchat, to try to figure out where he may be or who he may be with.
Courtney told Seehafer News that a friend of Hayden’s had contacted her to say that Hayden had contacted them and said he was safe.
The friend also said that Hayden wouldn’t say where he was and that he was “scared to come home because he thinks he is going to be in a lot of trouble.”
Courtney wants Hayden to know that “nobody is angry at him. We just want him to be at home, safe.”
While she was happy to hear that he was safe, Courtney said, “A text message from someone else to us doesn’t really do much for our worries.”
She also wanted Hayden to know, “I love him, and he doesn’t have to be afraid to come home. We are not angry. We really miss him.”
If you have any information on the whereabouts of Hayden Hautamaki, you are encouraged to contact your local law enforcement agency.
