Law enforcement engaged in a high-speed chase following a bank robbery in Fitchburg and an attempted robbery in Madison.
Eventually, a 38-year-old woman was arrested in Monona after police managed to halt her vehicle.
She stands accused of both the attempted robbery at Old National Bank on Raymond Road and the robbery at Associated Bank in Fitchburg.
No injuries were reported during the pursuit or the subsequent arrest, although two Dane County squad cars sustained damage.
