The Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has initiated an investigation into the untimely deaths of two dogs at a Racine park.
Billy’s Posse, a nonprofit organization focused on aiding lost dogs, reported the tragic incident.
According to their findings, Jax, a German Shepherd, and Lincoln, an American Bulldog, wandered away from their home and were found at Vidian-Cheska Park.
Surveillance footage captured animal control retrieving the dogs already displaying signs of illness. Jax, in particular, exhibited symptoms consistent with poisoning, as confirmed by a veterinarian.
Subsequently, the DNR assumed control of the case to conduct further inquiries.
