Schroeder’s Department Store in Two Rivers will be replacing their iconic sign. While the store has been in business since 1891, the sign was added in the 1960’s and has since become synonymous with the business, years of wind rain and snow damage have taken their toll, knocking off letters, and causing the clock to not always show the correct time. The plan is to replicate the sign’s current look, and to add LED lights. The replacement is estimated to cost around $25,000, $9,000 of which has already been raised thanks to their youcaring.com fundraiser. The store is also selling t-shirts for $19.95, $10 of which will go toward the new sign.
