An Outagamie County mother is facing charges following the overdose death of her child.
According to WFRV in Green Bay, 28-year-old Brooke Seal of Freedom was arrested on a charge of Neglecting a Child – Consequence is Death after police and EMS responded to her home on January 6th on a report of a two-year-old child not breathing.
The infant later died in a hospital, having suffered an overdose of fentanyl.
In fact, the amount of the drug in the child’s system was said to be enough to cause death in a full-grown adult.
The investigation is ongoing, with several agencies assisting the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office.
Seal is due in court today (February 2nd) for her initial appearance.
