Wisconsin lawmakers are set to address childhood obesity through proposed measures this week.
A hearing scheduled by an Assembly panel on Wednesday will discuss recommendations from the Speakers’ Task Force On Childhood Obesity.
Among the proposals is a plan to allocate approximately five million dollars for childhood obesity prevention and management.
Additionally, another initiative aims to mandate at least three hours of weekly physical activity in schools statewide.
