The Manitowoc Lincoln Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America group is calling last week’s teddy bear toss event a “huge success.”
The FCCLA held the toss during halftime of a Ships basketball game, with the bears destined for the Manitowoc County Foster Care organization.
The group thanked Beernsten’s Confectionary, The Flower Gallery, and Big Apple Bagel for their donations to the cause as well before noting that the initiative will “not only bring joy to the children who need some comfort but also teach our students the value of giving back to the community.”
