The Manitowoc Police Department’s SWAT team was called into action over the weekend.
According to LT. Jeremy Kronforst, the tactical unit was deployed to a residence in the Trails End Mobil Home Park, located at 2000 Johnston Drive in Manitowoc on a report of a weapon being displayed.
However, an investigation revealed that the report was false, and that the caller was trying to get someone else in trouble.
His plan backfired as the unidentified man was arrested and placed on a probation hold.
His name and age were not released as of this morning.
