SLC Opens in National Tournament/Postseason Honors

Manitowoc’s Silver Lake College will be in action late this morning in the USCAA National Women’s basketball tournament.  The Lady Lakers at 21-and-7 will face Dean College from Massachusetts today at 11am in Uniontown, Pennsylvania.  Coach Mike Flentje’s ballclub enters the competition on a 13-game winning streak. Meanwhile, some athletic and academic player awards were announced last night. Senior Danelle Buck received first team All-American recognition while junior Hailee Kotche was voted a 2^nd team All-American from the USCAA.  Coach Flentje also says SLC has ‘6’‘Academic’ All-Americans.  They are: Buck, Kotche, Danielle Byrum, Hannah Severin, Ashley Rumlow and Carla Martinez.
