An Appleton woman is facing charges after allegedly producing videos and images depicting child abuse.
38-year-old Charlotta Belgum is accused of creating and distributing the material over a seven-month timeframe, spanning from December 2021 through June of the following year.
Federal charges were filed last week against Belgum, who is facing up to 30 years in prison and fines of up to $250,000 if convicted.
The Wisconsin Department of Justice’s Division of Criminal Investigation teamed up with the Appleton Police Department and the Department of Homeland Security, San Antonio Field Office on the case, as Belgum allegedly shared the material with an individual she knew in Texas.
