
The Milwaukee police officer who tragically died in a crash in Oak Creek last month was found to be driving under the influence.
Officer James Nowak had a blood-alcohol content of 0.24, three times the legal limit, according to the toxicology report.
Nowak, who crashed into the back of a semi-truck after a night at his father-in-law’s tavern on December 3rd, succumbed to his injuries.
The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office has the manner of his death listed as ‘pending.’
