Voting booths stand ready for use in a U.S. election.
The ballots are set for the 2024 election, and several local county board seats will be contested.
Of the 25 seats on the ballot, six of them have contention, and three will have new representation.
Starting with the non-contested seats that will have a new supervisor, District 4’s Jim Brey will be replaced by Jason Riha, while Scott Schiesl will take over in District 7 after Norb Vogt filed for non-candidacy.
Also choosing not to run is District 14 Supervisor James Baumann, who will be replaced by Lawrence Bonde.
Now for the contested races. Morgan Sickinger has thrown his hat into the ring again for the District 3 seat, currently held By Rita Metzger, while Paul Hacker will defend his District 8 seat against Mark Linsmeier.
In District 15, Catherine Wagner will defend her spot against Dylan Hammel, while District 21’s Rick Geroll will face Mathew Phipps.
Denise Heller will also be defending her District 22 seat against Mike Grambow, while a runoff will be required for the District 35 seat.
Bonnie Shimulunas has three contenders, including Jason Ring, Doug Wolf, and Abdalla Mohammed Ibrahim.
