A woman has died following a crash in Calumet County.
According to the Calumet County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened at around 5:00 p.m. Thursday on State Highway 114 near Pigeon Road.
A preliminary investigation revealed that a pickup truck was traveling west on the highway when it hit a 40-year-old Fox Crossing woman who was on foot.
While the woman died at the scene, the 40-year-old man from Sherwood who was driving was uninjured.
Poor visibility due to the rain was believed to have been a factor in the crash, although it is not clear if any charges are being filed.
The names of those involved have not yet been released.
This was the fourth deadly crash in our area since Christmas Eve, with three happening in five days in Manitowoc County.
